First, the positives: the wine list is exceptional as are the scotch and port selections.However, whatever chef was working tonight did not even remotely understand temps. We had two different cuts of steak (shoulder and ribeye). Both were ordered mid-rare. Both delivered just north of blue. The quality of the ribeye cut was also terrible—if it had been cooked even close to 129-130 and had the fat even started to render, it would have been edible but this steak wasn’t even worth a re-fire.Too bad—the staff was excellent, attentive, and very kind. The sommelière wasn’t there tonight but the wonderful person we spoke to was very knowledgeable and suggested an excellent bottle of wine we’ve never tried but definitely will again.Unfortunately, we won’t be back. I hope tonight was an exception because the front of the house deserves better.
